Reserving Your Trip
Reserving your adventure at Torngat Mountains Base Camp is easy. Simply call or e-mail [email protected]
Payment Schedule
A deposit of 25% is required upon booking. The balance of your trip is required 120 days prior to departure. For your convenience, we automatically charge your credit card when the balance is due (unless otherwise arranged).
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your trip, please let us know as soon as possible. The following fees will apply to cancellations and are calculated as of the date we receive your written cancellation notice, which can be sent by email.
- A deposit of 25% is required to reserve your trip
- 120 days or more before trip: A full refund, less a $500 per person administration fee.
- 90 – 120 before trip: Refund of 75% of total trip price will be refunded.
- 61-89 days before trip: Refund of 50% of total trip price will be refunded.
- Less than 60 days before trip: No refund will be given. We highly recommend that all guests purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance.
Torngat Mountains Base Camp is not responsible for any additional costs that may arise in the event of a trip alteration or delay caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Weather Delays/Cancellations
The Torngat Mountain Base Camp Operator strongly recommends Travel, cancellation and accident insurance. Due to the nature of the remoteness of the Torngat Mountain Base Camp, we highly recommend that every participant purchase a good quality Travel Insurance Policy that covers Trip Cancellations due to forces of nature.
The weather is unpredictable and can delay departures or the delay the return of the trip. If your departure is delayed, we will work diligently to give you the best experience with the conditions we face at the time. We reserve the right to delay, shorten or cancel the trip due to safety concerns at any time. If a trip is cancelled due to forces of nature beyond our control, there will be no refunds made by Torngats Mountain Base Camp Operator, all claims will have to be processed by your insurance company.
Torngat Mountains Base Camp reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient bookings, safety threats including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism or logistical problems that may impede trip operations. If we must cancel a trip, you may choose between an alternate trip. If the alternate trip chosen is of a lower value than the trip originally booked, you will be entitled to a refund of the difference in price. If the alternate trip chosen is of a higher value, you will be required to pay the difference in price.
Torngat Mountains Base Camp is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip participants in preparing for a cancelled trip such as (non-refundable advance purchase plane tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, or for any costs associated with additional arrangements for travel plans associated with this trip).
