Waiver and Medical Forms
Guests of the Torngat Mountains Base Camp are required to submit a Release of Liability and a Medical History document. Torngat Mountains Base Camp must receive the completed forms at least 30 days prior to tour departure. These forms can be downloaded here in PDF format:
Reserving Your Trip
Reserving your adventure at Torngat Mountains Base Camp is easy. Simply call 1-709-217-2591 or 1-709-635-4336 or e-mail [email protected] and your Customer Experience Expert will be happy to assist you in booking the trip of a lifetime.
We offer discounts on our packages to groups. If you would like to book a group trip, please Contact Us and let us know the approximate number of guests in your group. If people within your group are paying individually, have them mention your name or the group name when booking. We’ll keep track of the names and numbers, and when you reach the required group size, the discount will be applied to each final payment invoice.
Many of our guests are interested in forming their own group and designing a trip that focuses on their own unique interests. We would be happy to arrange a special customized itinerary for you. Simply Contact Us!
Pricing and Taxes
Torngat Mountains Base Camp prices are in Canadian dollars and it is your credit card company or bank that will determine your exchange rate on the day your transaction takes place. Pricing is subject to change. All trips are subject to an additional 15% tax called the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax).
A deposit to reserve your space on a trip is due at time of booking. The balance of your trip cost is due 60 days prior to departure. For your convenience, with your authorization, we automatically charge your credit card when the balance is due (unless otherwise arranged).
If you need to cancel your trip, please let us know as soon as possible. The following fees will apply to cancellations and are calculated as of the date we receive your written cancellation notice, which can be sent by email, fax or standard mail.
- 60 or more days before trip: Full amount is refunded less a $100 administration fee.
- 30-59 days before trip: 50% of total trip price is refunded.
- Less than 30 days before trip: No refund will be given, unless space can verifiably be re-sold. If the space can be re-sold, only the deposit is retained. We highly recommend that all guests purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance.
Torngat Mountains Base Camp is not responsible for any additional costs that may arise in the event of a trip alteration or delay caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Torngat Mountains Base Camp reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient bookings, safety threats including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism or logistical problems that may impede trip operations. If we have to cancel a trip, you may choose between an alternate trip or a full refund. If the alternate trip chosen is of a lower value than the trip originally booked, you will be entitled to a refund of the difference in price. If the alternate trip chosen is of a higher value, you will be required to pay the difference in price. Torngat Mountains Base Camp is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip participants in preparing for a cancelled trip such as(non-refundable advance purchase plane tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, or for any costs associated with additional arrangements for travel plans associated with this trip).

Once you’ve made your booking and have sent in your deposit, we’ll send you a document that outlines all the details of your trip, including an itinerary, packing list, accommodation and transportation options, directions and meeting times. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to Contact Us.
Let us know if you’re planning a special birthday or anniversary trip. We’ll pack a surprise! If you have special dietary considerations (i.e. vegetarian, vegan or any food allergies), please let us know in advance. Please note we are not equipped to provide completely gluten-, dairy-, or nut-free experiences.
Medical and Risk Acknowledgement/Liability Release Forms
Each guest must complete the mandatory medical form and liability release forms and submit them by email, fax or mail at least 30 days prior to trip departure. These forms are available at the top of this page.

Gratuities are always appreciated. If you feel that the staff at Torngat Mountains Base Camp has done an exceptional job, tipping is a great way to show your appreciation. We also appreciate other expressions of thanks, such as cards or letters!
Storage of Personal and Financial Information
Due to the nature of our services, it is necessary to collect and store a certain amount of personal and financial information. By providing us with your address, personal, medical and financial information, you consent to the storage of this information for a period of time deemed appropriate by Torngat Mountains Base Camp. Personal information includes, but is not limited to, your first name, last name, phone number, email address and billing address. Financial information includes, but is not limited to, your credit card account number, card expiration date and cardholder name. Medical information includes, but is not limited to, any information requested on the Medical History Form.
